Kristopher N. Kazmierczak

As a shareholder, Kris offers more than a decade of bench and jury trial experience in state and federal court protecting the rights and interests of businesses and individuals. Kris utilizes his trial experience to achieve cost-effective solutions for his clients' legal issues and business disputes. Kris represents clients ranging from individuals to closely held family run businesses to fortune 500 companies. He has provided counsel on a wide range of issues concerning corporate, employment, insurance, civil rights, municipal liability, construction, and contract matters. Kris handles complex commercial litigation, collective and class actions, mass tort lawsuits, administrative proceedings, and appeals.

While Kris routinely deals with all types of business disputes, one of his key interests is in the area of employment counseling and litigation. Areas of representation include matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other Indiana agencies, and claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Employee Retirement Income Security Act, Equal Pay Act, Indiana’s Trade Secret Act, Indiana’s Wage and Hour laws, and disputes relating to employment contracts and non-competition and non-solicitation agreements.

Kris has appeared on behalf of clients in a number of federal courts, including the district courts for Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, Eastern District of Wisconsin, Northern and Southern District of Ohio, Central District of Illinois, District of Minnesota, Northern District of Alabama, District of Arkansas and Middle District of Tennessee. In addition to his trial work, Kris has also handled civil and criminal appeals. He is admitted to the Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

He is a member of the Federal, Indiana, Indianapolis and Hamilton County Bar Associations and a former member of the Indianapolis American Inn of Court. Kris was selected for inclusion in the Indiana Super Lawyers – Rising Star Edition 2009. Fellow, Litigation Counsel of America (2009) an invitation only trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers.
