Patricia Polis McCrory

Biography

Patricia Polis McCrory litigates complex cases and handles intellectual property disputes, environmental contamination issues, officer and director liability claims, and trade dress infringement matters.  She also represents financial institutions in actions involving allegations of lender liability and fraud.  In addition Ms. McCrory is a certified mediator for Civil Cases.

Clients entrusting her with their litigation and mediation concerns range from medium-sized businesses to corporations.  Non-profits use Ms. McCrory to deal with governance and donations, as well as limited liability entities.   As a litigator and business advisor, Pat has served as Lead Counsel in patent infringement litigation involving catalytic converting coating processes, a highly technical case brought in the United States District Court, Northern District of Indiana/Hammond Division.  Her work with a health care client involved representation of that entity’s officers and directors against the Department of Insurance in an insolvency action.  She has also dealt with the Department of Insurance on behalf of a Multi-Employer Welfare Benefit Plan and its officers and directors.

Ms. McCrory is regularly called upon by clients with environmental concerns on the regulatory and litigation fronts, including petroleum operators and dry cleaners.  Brownfields are a concern for property purchasers throughout the state, and Ms. McCrory has aided them in sorting through the myriad of legal issues.
